A smudge stick a day keeps the bad vibes away…
A quick way to help your space FEEL revitalized is by utilizing a sage smudge stick. Energy can easily become stagnant in our homes, often disguising itself as clutter or a heavy and overwhelming feeling. No one wants that and quite simply it doesn’t positively contribute to our well being.
I recommend trying to pay attention to how you feel within your. home. Any time you start to get this sort of feeling it’s probably about time to clear the clutter and give your home a fresh smudge! See tips below on how to smudge!
How I Smudge:
Know where your smudge stick is coming from: It’s super important to understand where you’re getting your smudge stick from. The intentionality put into crafting these sticks can linger within the item, so you want to purchase it from a trust source. I highly recommend going to your local crystal or new age store and getting to know where some of the products come from. Or do a little digging online and read about the company and where they source from before placing your order.
There there be light: Carefully light the end of the smudge stick. Once it starts smoking you want to blow it out so that all is left is a soft smoke coming from the stick.
Intentionality: Think about the intention you want to bring to your space. Are you wanting the space to feel healthy and full of love? Do you want the space to feel light and inspired? Think that thought over and over as you go through the smudging process. Even more importantly, feel this for your space.
Perimeter walk: Walk around the perimeter of your space while lightly wafting the smoke throughout. Be sure to go up and around doorways, windows and mirrors as these are spaces energy flows in and out of. You don’t want these spaces blocked or retaining poor energy.
Get into spaces that need a little TLC: Be sure to take extra care when getting to corners and areas that were previously holding a lot of clutter. Energy has clearly built up here so give it that refresh it’s needing.
Disposal: Safely dispose of the smudge stick by either placing it in a fire safe bowl while it finishes up or put it out under water.
Happy Smudging!
